Lineal Duct Wrap
Wrapping your exposed ductwork and pipes with Flexfoil can signifIcantly reduce your heating and cooling costs by minimizing radiant energy loss. Condensation problems caused by cold pipes as well as radiant heat loss by hot pipes can also be reduced. Your ducts or pipes can be wraped in one of two ways: Lineal Wrapping or Spiral Wrapping.
Product

Average R-Value
Heat flow up: R-4.4*
Heat flow down: R-8.2*
Heat Flow Horizontal: R-5.7*
* System R-value is for one enclosed air space. Additional R- 4.5 added for a still air film for
heat flow down, R-1.3 for heat flow up and R-1.7 for heat flow horizontal.

Instructions
  1. Cut 2" spacer strips of Flexfoil and secure them around the body of the duct using Flexfoil reflective tape.
  2. By placing these strips every 2" to 3" you will create the air space to achieve the R value.
  3. Wrap Flexfoil around the duct.
  4. Tape all seams with Flexfoil reflective tape.
